Lesson's I hate to learn

Being a Dad, you learn a lot of things that you never really thought you would. Some of them are great to know, many you wish you didn't for examples, here are a few things that I have learned. You can decide if they are good to hae learned, or not so much.

There is nothing that cannot be broken.
A kid a actually be so afraid at night, you can't wake them.. (night terrors)
Playing with poo when you're small, is fun.
Sometimes being told off my a 6 year old is funny.
You can't take any information for granted, you learned it once too.
Kids have no concept of time.
No matter how hard you try, you can't force the toilet to be flushed.
A smile can melt you.
A frown can stop you in your tracks
A tear can crush you.
A laugh can change your whole attitude.
Sometimes, we speak, and we think it makes sense, but it really doesn't. And we wonder why they don't listen.
I have learned that I'm actually pretty important to someone.

I love being a Dad. but there a lesson's that I don't like to learn. EXAMPLE!! Yesterday, my daughter snuck away for a little while I was on a phone call, and Lee was entertaining guests. Where did she go? To the Garage with the dogs in their crates (it was a little rainy yesterday). What did she do? She fed the dogs. Not too bad right. We have two great yellow labs. Sage the older is on a self regulated diet. She eats 'til she's full, then stops. Izzy, is on a mandated diet. She eats 'til there's no food. APPARENTLY UNTIL THERE IS NOT FOOD. The little one must have given that beast 3-4 (maybe 5-6) times her usually daily allowance of food. Sages bowl was over following completely, and Izzy's was empty expect for some of the floor of the crate. I walked out and was one big, fat, bloated, and miserable looking Izzy, still scarfing food off the floor. I kicked them both out of the crates while I cleaned up. Izzy then proceeded out of the crate and began.... Wasting? like 4 times in 5 minutes, and them started hurling everywhere. When night came, (with a great rain and thunderstorm) I decided that I should crate her knowing that there would be a mess in the morning. guess whaT!!! there was a mess that made me wanna hurl. YUCK. I proceeded to clean it up. but the dog is finally starting to look more comfortable. We think she'll live, but we must control the beast with the eating disorder. Thanks to the little princess for teaching Dad a lesson, I wish I hadn't learned. Dog can have bad eating disorders, and if you overfeed a dog......it's gross.

Sorry dear. Sorry for the mess. Sorry I didn't watch out for Little Miss better. And sorry she puked and pooped. But I am glad she is alive.
Love you.

Wow, that's a huge bummer. Way to be a man and take charge of the clean up though!! :) Glad the dog is okay.

so glad the dog is ok because it is your delightful Izzy and not my monster of a mut. So nasty I was gaging while reading. It's no wonder you cleaned it up. Lee never would have made it and we all know it.
